Will be there The Expanse 5 season: news

The renewal of The Expanse 5 season arrived on Saturday 27 July 2019 on the occasion of press meeting Amazon Studios  organized for the summer press tour of the American Television Critics Association. Amazon Studios president Jennifer Salke announced The Expanse 5, showcasing full confidence in The Expanse‘s first season since it became a Prime Original series.

The news was then released by The Expanse social media accounts. “Season 5 is officially confirmed,” reads the tweet posted on Twitter on Saturday 27 July.

The Expanse 4 debut took place last Friday 13 December: the announcement of the upcoming fifth season came five months after the arrival of The Expanse 4 on Amazon, a move that testifies to the enthusiasm of the e-giant. commerce versus the sci-fi series.

The Expanse 5 season plot: what is going to happen

The Expanse is a science fiction series with political implications set in the future. Humans have now colonized the solar system. The United Nations controls the Earth while an independent military force resides on Mars.

The series opens with Mars and Earth both desperate for scarcity of water and oxygen. The two planets are on the brink of conflict to grab the resources found in the Main Asteroid Belt. With little chance of survival, the allies find themselves fighting for the future of humanity.

The fifth season of The Expanse will follow the events of the fifth novel in the James SA Corey saga, “Nemesis Games – The Expanse.” Below is the synopsis of the book:

A thousand new worlds are now attainable. The greatest exodus in the history of mankind is about to begin. As hordes of settlers depart for new horizons, the old power structures of the solar system are about to collapse. Whole fleets disappear, defense systems are helpless in the face of the strength of the armies of those who yearn for power. Terror sends attacks previously unthinkable, which bring the inner planets to their knees.

It is as if men were to pay the blame of having gone beyond the imaginable, beyond their means, taking possession of the destiny of the universe. James Holden and the crew of the Rocinante will have to struggle to survive in a world where order is maintained by force and law is established by violence. Their mission is to return to the home they left and retrace the path that led them into the new era, into a future they would never have imagined.

The fifth season of the series continues the story of humans who are leaving the solar system en masse in search of a new home and a new beginning in Earth-like worlds. The consequences of the secular exploitation of the Belt have finally become real and the reckoning is inevitable. For the Rocinante crew and the leaders of the Inner Planets and the Belt, the past and the present collide, and the future holds challenges for them that will affect the entire solar system.

Amos (Wes Chatham) returns to Earth to confront his past and the consequences of a life he has fought so hard to leave behind. Naomi (Dominique Tipper) manages to catch up with her son in a desperate attempt to save him from his father’s damaging influence. Bobbie (Frankie Adams) and Alex (Cas Anvar) try to cope with the collapse of Mars by following the movements of an ambiguous coven with ties to criminals and terrorists.

Holden (Steven Strait) struggles with the consequences of his past with the Protomolecule, with the aliens who built it, and with the mystery of what annihilated them. Drummer (Cara Gee), in the company of a new team, fights to escape who and what has been before, and Avasarala (Shohreh Aghdashloo), refusing to be relegated to the sidelines, will do anything to prevent a terrorist attack of historic proportions.

The Expanse 5 season cast: actors and characters

The Expanse cast includes Thomas Jane (Joe Miller), Shohreh Asgdashloo (Chrisjen Avasarala), Steve Strait (James Holden), Dominique Tipper (Naomi Nagata), Wes Chatam (Amos Burton), Cas Anvar (Alex Kamal), Frankie Adams (Roberta ‘Bobbie’ W. The Expanse 5 season episodes: how many will be

Ten episodes will make up the fifth season – the same number as those of the fourth season. The latter was the first season commissioned by Amazon Prime Video and no longer by Syfy.

The series is based on the novels of James SA Corey and was conceived and written by the authors Mark Fergus (Iron Man) and Hawk Otsby (Children of Men). The Expanse is produced by Alcon Television Group and features Naren Shankar as showrunner.

The Expanse 5 streaming season: where to watch it

The Expanse became an original Amazon Prime Video series starting from season four. American network Syfy was the broadcaster of the series for the first three seasons, until it announced its cancellation on May 10, 2018. On May 25, 2018, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos, a big fan of The Expanse, announced that Prime Video has commissioned a fourth season of the series and that the series will actually move to Amazon.

Like the fourth season debuting on Friday 13 December, the fifth season of The Expanse will also be available exclusively for Amazon Prime Video subscribers in all territories where the streaming service is active.
