What Equinox is about: plot and previews

What does Equinox talk about? The supernatural series is set in Denmark, and follows the story of a young woman named Astrid (Danica Curcic). Twenty years have passed since the protagonist was deeply traumatized by a mysterious event that happened when she was only a child. The story of the series alternates the events on two timelines: the first located in the present day and the second which refers to the events of 1999, when it all began.

Astrid was only 9 years old in 1999 when a class of high school students disappeared inexplicably without leaving any trace. Astrid, who is the sister of one of the missing students, is traumatized and plagued with horrific visions after her sister goes missing.

In 2020 Astrid lives a quiet life with her family when suddenly the nightmares return and start haunting her. Through the nightly radio show she hosts, Astrid will be contacted by one of the three survivors of the 1999 accident. He will die shortly thereafter under equally mysterious circumstances.

Determined to see it straight, Astrid is determined to find out what happened to her sister and the class, revealing a dark and disturbing truth that engages her in ways she never imagined.

The creative team behind it are all extremely talented and it is a great pleasure to work with them. We look forward to introducing this series to the world audience together with Netflix.”

Tead Lindeburg conceived and wrote the series produced by Apple Tree Productions with Dorthe Riis Lauridsen as producer, and company CEO Piv Bernth (The Killing, The Bridge and Follow The Money) serving as executive producer.
